Inspired by his West Texas construction family, George worked in the commercial real estate industry throughout his career.

After working for several architecture firms, he joined the Vantage Companies in Dallas, Texas. There he gained experience managing the design and construction of a large portfolio of commercial and industrial projects.  In that role, he was responsible for managing a variety of building types across a large geographic network of corporate divisions.

In 2001, together with Don Hodges, George purchased Vantage Construction Management, Inc. and renamed the company CYMCOR. They commenced operations on January 1, 2002.

George is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Construction Management Association of America.

With a career in the construction and real estate that spans 35+ years, Don Hodges has held a range of positions including field engineer, estimator, project manager, and managing partner. He gained experience in commercial and industrial construction at general contractors and commercial real estate developers with national exposure, including Vantage Construction Management.

During his career, Don oversaw an in-house general construction division and provided executive leadership for the development of projects such as Fujitsu America and Toyota Arizona Proving Ground along with other projects covering six different states. In 2001, Hodges and a longtime associate purchased Vantage Construction Management and rebranded the entity as CYMCOR, Inc. a professional program management and construction management group. CYMCOR has represented multiple owners overseeing development or providing consulting for projects values totaling over $1 billion dollars.

Over a 30-year career in the real estate and construction industry, Marc has held several leadership positions for large general contractors in the Dallas / Fort Worth area, including Field Operations, Preconstruction, and most recently Operations Manager for The Beck Group of Dallas.   

His experience encompasses a large cross-section of the commercial real estate industry, including education, industrial and manufacturing, faith based, healthcare, retail, high rise office, and mission critical. In August of 2020, Marc purchased CYMCOR shares from founder George Cooley. Together and in partnership with co-owner Don Hodges, Marc oversees the daily operations of CYMCOR and focuses on strategic planning and new business development for the company.

With 20 years of industry experience, Shelby has overseen all phases of multimillion-dollar construction projects, managing large teams in commercial construction. He has successfully completed high-profile projects across a range of sectors, including high-rise office buildings, faith-based projects, aviation, hospitality, mission-critical facilities, museums and cultural facilities, and manufacturing. 

His expertise spans preconstruction and construction services, cost-saving strategies, project budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring site safety.

In January of 2024, Shelby purchased CYMCOR shares from founder Don Hodges joining Don and Marc as Managing Partners. Currently Shelby focuses on the operations management of CYMCOR.

As the construction data analytics specialist at CYMCOR, Matt specializes in estimating and cost control with a strong emphasis on visually intelligent communication. With 19 years of experience, he has built a robust background in preconstruction, estimating, contracting, and procurement.

Previously, Matt was the Director of Preconstruction for a national general contractor. He is passionate about improving initial budgets and ensuring alignment with owners’ project requirements. Whether utilizing Integrated, IPD or CMAR delivery methods, Matt is committed to helping owners achieve their ideal balance of quality, cost, and schedule.

With more than 15 years of experience in the construction industry, Preston knows what it takes to make a project successful. He is strategic, team-oriented, and helps his clients by developing a plan, establishing accountability, and holding teams to a high standard of performance. As a Project Director at CYMCOR, Preston oversees the company’s operations in the Western United States.

Preston started his career as general contractor and has worked for several large firms in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. He has held a range of positions including field engineer, project engineer, estimator, and senior project manager. Preston’s experience spans industrial, upscale commercial / hospitality, multifamily, healthcare, and mission critical market segments. As a general contractor, he managed over 50 projects from concept to completion.

Brian Gore is an innovative and results-driven finance Leader with extensive experience promoting institutional effectiveness through exceptional platform development, forecasting, customer acquisition, and cross-functional team leadership. He is adept at positioning high-growth companies for sustained success, leveraging staff training, leadership development, and mentoring programs to foster a culture of ownership.

Brian has spearheaded the transformation and turnaround of financial operations in various businesses through innovation, automation, coordination, and strategic planning.  He has orchestrated corporate acquisitions, developed financial technology platforms, and revamped business structures. A proven leader, Brian has served as a senior executive in several companies, maximizing their productivity and efficiency, and exceeding their expectations.

Over his 12-year career in the construction industry, Steven gained experience in both residential and commercial sectors working as a Construction Manager, Project Manager, and Superintendent. His diverse expertise and hands-on leadership make him a valuable asset in any construction endeavor.

In his role as a Development Manager at CYMCOR, he specializes in cost management. Before this role, he spent four years building homes in Austin, TX, as a Construction Manager. He also dedicated eight years to commercial construction with a focus on job order contracts (JOC) and master agreements for the City of Dallas, excelling in multiple roles, including Project Manager / Project Leader, Superintendent, and Estimator.

As a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science and a Minor in Business.

Joseph joined the CYMCOR team after spending the last few years working at a $50 Billion semiconductor project in Taylor, Texas, overseeing Gas, Chemical System Commissioning and later as the Owner’s Representative of Office Building Tenant Improvement Construction. He has previously worked in project support areas of safety, training, procurement/budget, maintenance planning/management, commissioning planning, project development/management, space management, and AV installation/operations. Earlier in his career he worked for 27 years in submarine nuclear power plant operations/maintenance for the U.S. Navy.

As an experienced Project Controls Manager, Chadd has a strong background in cost management and project scheduling. His areas of expertise include budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management.

In his role as a Development Manager at CYMCOR, Chadd has proven his ability to deliver quality construction projects and meet client budget and schedule expectations.

Chadd previously served in the U.S. Air Force, where he gained leadership, discipline, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage complex projects and teams.

Mitchell has almost 10 years of dedicated experience advocating for property owners, managers, and developers within the construction and commercial real estate sectors. He has successfully served clients across both private and government sectors, including local and federal projects. His expertise spans a wide range of project types, including new construction and renovations, with a focus on institutional, industrial, office, and retail developments. At CYMCOR, Mitchell has taken on a key role in cost management, overseeing multiple industrial projects in collaboration with a national developer.

Mitchell began his career in commercial property management at a regional real estate firm, and he later transitioned into construction management. He continued his career at a regional construction management firm, providing on-site project management for a local school district’s new construction program. His comprehensive experience and attention to detail ensure successful project outcomes and client satisfaction.

As Developmental Manager, Christian Maier brings experience supporting as an owner’s representative on a variety of vertical and horizontal construction projects. He has experience in project communication, contracting workflows, submittals, and stakeholder coordination, with a detail-oriented approach that helps keep work organized and aligned. Christian has supported clients across both private and government sectors, providing the same level of responsiveness, professionalism, and care to each engagement. Known for building strong working relationships and staying responsive to evolving project needs, Christian works closely with colleagues, partners, and clients to support successful outcomes. At CYMCOR, Christian has taken on a key role in cost management, overseeing multiple industrial projects in collaboration with a national developer.

Prior to CYMCOR, Christian began his career as an inspector for a regional geo-technical firm, gaining hands-on experience focused on quality control, field documentation, and verifying that work was completed in accordance with project requirements. He continued his construction career at a regional construction management firm, providing on-site project management for local school and government new construction projects. These roles gave him a practical understanding of construction operations and reinforced his commitment to accuracy, accountability, consistent project delivery, and client satisfaction.

Robin Fugiel is an adaptable professional with expertise managing a full range of administrative and financial activities, including payroll, coordinating staff assignments and human resources.

Her strengths include automating processes and streamlining organizational systems to ensure efficient workflow and high productivity. Robin’s professional experience spans a variety of industries, including churches, schools, corporations, and the U.S. Military.

She is proficient in a variety of software programs used for monitoring bank reconciliations, updating spreadsheets, assisting with accounts receivable, and ensuring invoicing accuracy. She is dedicated to building positive relationships with staff and members of the community.

With almost 15 years in commercial construction, Jamie’s experience spans field operations, estimating, project management, and technical consulting leading teams as a subcontractor, general contractor, and consultant. He gained experience through successful project execution for high profile clients in diverse project types, including high-rise office, education, healthcare, laboratory, manufacturing facilities, state and local government, and the U.S. Department of Defense.

Known for his meticulous attention to detail and proactive problem-solving approach, Jamie has a proven track record of implementing process improvements that drive efficiency and client satisfaction. .

With nearly 15 years in construction, Matt’s experience spans residential and commercial sectors. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated an ability to implement system and process improvements that help streamline project execution and increase cost efficiency. Matt is known for his consistent, proactive approach to problem solving and careful attention to detail.

Prior to joining CYMCOR, Matt completed his Master of Business Administration degree and gained experience working for both general and specialty contractors. He holds a Google Project Management Certificate, Qualys Vulnerability Management Certification, and Project Management Professional Certification.

With over 13 years of diverse experience in the construction industry, Hooman has developed a deep expertise in managing projects across the commercial, residential, and federal government sectors. As a seasoned project manager, he has played a pivotal role in pre-construction and construction services, project budgeting, scheduling, and safety management. 

Currently, serving as Development Manager at Cymcor, Hooman specializes in cost management, leveraging his extensive background to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within budget. His strong technical foundation and his ability to navigate complex project requirements make him a valuable asset to the team and clients. 

After working over 15 years in the field of professional accounting, Brian began pursuing several successful entrepreneurial endeavors that ignited a passion for the construction business.  In 2014, he began investing in and renovating residential properties and developing his project management skills. Since 2017, Brian completed more than 200 projects in the residential construction space.  In 2023, he joined the Cymcor team to oversee Cymcor Construction, where he utilizes his experience in business and construction to develop foundational systems and processes, build exceptional vendor relationships and establish a network of reputable, talented subcontractors.  Since inception in 2023, Cymcor Construction has completed a variety of small commercial and unique residential projects.  In his personal time, Mr. Smith dedicates time volunteering in the McKinney community, especially with the Hugs Café organization, a non-profit whose mission is to equip adults with special needs with job skills and employment opportunities. 

Jeff Peppers is a seasoned construction and development professional with over a decade of leadership experience across commercial, industrial, and civil projects nationwide. His career has included progressive roles as Field Engineer, Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Development Manager, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the full project development lifecycle.

He has successfully delivered multimillion-dollar projects totaling over $600 million, with expertise in site due diligence and design, contract negotiation and execution, general contractor oversight, consultant coordination, and the integration of sustainable building practices. Jeff’s background spans both horizontal and vertical construction, with hands-on experience as a general contractor and in managing construction for national real estate portfolios. He combines technical expertise with strong leadership and collaboration skills to drive efficiency and ensure project success.

Greg Brock is a Power Consultant for CYMCOR. In this role, he assists clients by working with electric utility companies to determine the electrical power available for their proposed data center sites.

Brock is a Licensed Professional Engineer and Master Electrician in Texas with over 45 years of experience in electrical engineering, construction management, and MEP systems. Greg also serves on the board of the Illuminating Engineering Society’s Dallas Section.

Earlier in his career, Greg spent 26 years at The Beck Group as Director of MEP Services. In this role, he led multidisciplinary teams and managed major projects across healthcare, data centers, laboratories, and corporate campuses, including work for AT&T, RadioShack, Fidelity Investments, and the University of Texas.

Greg’s background includes numerous leadership roles in both engineering consulting and electrical contracting. He is known for his technical expertise, project leadership, and his commitment to high-quality, cost-effective electrical solutions.

Miguel Vargas brings over 17 years of experience in the electrical industry, with a strong background in quality management and industrial construction. Most recently with Samsung E&C America at the Samsung Taylor Semiconductor project, Miguel supported the Quality Management team by overseeing inspections, coordinating contractors, and ensuring compliance with NEC standards and safety requirements.

Before joining SECAI, he worked at Samsung Austin Semiconductor as a Senior Electrical Technician, specializing in low- and medium-voltage systems, switchgear, UPS installations, VFDs, and heat trace systems. His career began with JMEG Electrical Contractors, where he gained hands-on experience in large-scale industrial and commercial projects.

Jay Wieland has experience supporting both owner’s representative and contractor teams on a range of civil and vertical construction projects. His background includes permitting, coordination with design teams and inspectors, and managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Prior to joining CYMCOR, Jay worked for a real estate developer where he supported large ground-up projects, including a $30 million parking garage and a $100 million multi-use facility. In this role, he managed the general contractor through construction and closeout while leading permitting and coordination efforts, successfully obtaining approvals for each phase prior to construction start. He later worked with a civil contractor supporting infrastructure projects, with a focus on BIM coordination, wet utilities, and production tracking, working closely with field teams, third-party inspectors, and regulatory agencies to maintain compliance and keep projects moving.
