Mary Kay Cosmetics –
Lewisville, Texas
Mary Kay Inc recently opened its new U.S.-based global manufacturing and research and development facility located in Lewisville, Texas. The Richard R. Rogers (R3) Manufacturing Facility – named in honor of company co-founder, executive chairman and son of Mary Kay Ash – will support the global cosmetic company’s needs in producing skin care products, color cosmetics and fragrances for millions of Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants in nearly 40 countries. It will replace Mary Kay’s former manufacturing facility that opened on Regal Row in Dallas in 1969.
With more than a $100 million investment, the 453,000-square-foot building features state-of-the-art research and development laboratories and cutting-edge manufacturing technology. It will function as a zero waste to landfill facility.
To commemorate the opening of the facility, Mary Kay’s executive leadership team, elected officials, Cymcor’s project management team and the Beck Group’s construction team joined together for an official ribbon cutting.
In partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, the one millionth tree was planted on the grounds of the new facility as a part of Mary Kay’s Pink Doing Green initiative.
The new facility will support the production of skin care products, color cosmetics, and fragrances.
